See all FAQs →

What business formation documents can ClearPath prepare?

At your direction, ClearPath can prepare California LLC or corporation formation filings, an operating agreement from your terms, statements of information, and DBA paperwork.

Can ClearPath recommend an entity or ownership structure?

No. Entity choice, tax classification, ownership, management, and governance are legal and tax decisions for you and your advisers.

How is LLC filing only different from an LLC package?

Filing only covers the formation filing. The $750–$995 package adds an operating agreement, while the advertised premium package is $995. State fees are additional.

How long does formation document preparation take?

Timing depends on complete entity, agent, owner, manager, and chosen governance information. State processing, name issues, county DBA steps, and agency responses affect the total timeline; approval is not guaranteed.

Can ClearPath prepare an operating agreement?

Yes, from ownership, management, voting, and distribution terms you provide. ClearPath cannot recommend terms, resolve owner disputes, or give legal or tax advice.

Are state fees included in listed prices?

No. Published formation prices list state fees separately. DBA costs, publication, certified copies, expedited processing, licenses, and third-party charges are also separate unless stated.

Does ClearPath obtain an EIN or licenses?

ClearPath can support assembly of EIN information when included in the package. Licenses, permits, tax registrations, and local compliance are separate and vary by activity and location.

When should I consult an attorney or tax professional?

Get advice before choosing structure or tax treatment and for investors, regulated work, employment, securities, financing, buyouts, or disputed terms. Formation does not guarantee liability protection or business outcomes.

ClearPath is not a law firm.

ClearPath is a California Legal Document Assistant. We are not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, recommend legal strategy, or select forms on your behalf. All documents are prepared at your specific direction. Court filing fees and government costs are quoted and billed separately at cost.
